AirBnB security team investigation developed as a TV show

Passage Pictures from producer Uri Singer is developing a series called “Enjoy Your Stay,” which the producer says will be based on true events surrounding AirBnB’s crisis response team and their attempts to deal with the aftermath. of a crime. A former member of AirBnB’s security team has joined the production as an anonymous source and consultant for the series, Passage Pictures said. AirBnB’s handling of incidents such as rapes and shootings and its reported use of a shadowy security team has been the subject of several media investigations.

“We believe this project is an important contemporary story that needs to be told, to show the stories of both victims and crisis team employees,” Singer said.

Former Wall Street Journal reporter Will Connors writes the series. This will be Connors’ first venture into screenwriting, having spent more than a decade covering corruption, business, politics and sports for The Journal, The New York Times and other publications. He has written more than 50 front-page articles for the Journal on the slippery maneuvers of those in power in Africa, Brazil, Canada and the United States.

Singer is gearing up for the highly anticipated production of “Underworld,” an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel to be penned by writer and director Ted Melfi (“Hidden Figures”). Her previous production credits include “Tesla” with Ethan Hawke and “Marjorie Prime” with Geena Davis, Lois Smith and Jon Hamm. He produces “White Noise”, another DeLillo adaptation that Noah Baumbach is directing for Netflix.

Singer is replaced by Carissa Knol at Knol Law PC.
