Neckarsulm, August 30, 2022 – Bechtle AG is accelerating the significant expansion of its strategic IT security portfolio, aiming to double its current team through a combination of new hires and an internal qualification program. With around 300 certified IT security experts, Bechtle today ranks among the top three IT service providers in Germany in this segment. The increasing frequency and complexity of cyberattacks against businesses of all shapes and sizes, as well as public sector institutions, have caused the demand for professional services to skyrocket, particularly in recent months. Bechtle provides its customers with extensive know-how and end-to-end services, from consulting to implementation to operations, helping them to effectively prevent, detect and respond to cyberattacks.
Bechtle plans to expand its resources into the growing IT security market at all levels. This includes cloud, application, data center, infrastructure, perimeter and cybersecurity, but also data protection and information security, all of which are seeing a steady increase in demand.

Bechtle has a vast community of security experts organized in 16 Competence Centers attached to the group’s SSIIs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In total, the approximately 300 specialists hold more than 1,200 individual certifications covering an extensive IT security product portfolio from more than 50 manufacturers.
In addition, the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has certified Bechtle as an Advanced Persistent Threat Response (APT) service provider under a special qualification program. This enables Bechtle to effectively help its customers, including critical infrastructure operators, repel and manage attacks. As a security service provider, Bechtle is available to its customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
There are currently more than 200 vacancies at Bechtle sites in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including for cybersecurity engineers, IT security consultants, IT cyber defense specialists and IT forensics specialists. In addition, Bechtle has developed a dedicated qualification program within its own Bechtle Academy for career jumpers and IT experts in other fields to meet growing demand, and also cooperates with universities to attract new new talents.
