Digitized security system in Samarkand
AKIPRESS.COM – A professional security system for large-scale events was introduced for rapid response during the SCO summit in Samarkand, UzA reported.
Previously, Samarkand’s radio network had limited coverage and employees of different agencies were unable to communicate. This reduced the efficiency of their daily work and emergency response.
The modernization of Samarkand’s security system was carried out by the Chinese company Hytera Communications Corporation Limited and O’zelektroapparat-Electroshield JSC. Hytera is a communication solution provider for SCO Dushanbe Summit 2021, Sochi (2014) and Beijing (2022) Winter Olympics, G20 Summit in Hangzhou and many more.
Employees of the responsible agencies received several thousand DMR radio stations, sets of base stations, several hundred video recorders, as well as a dispatch system and other operational and emergency communication devices. The new equipment is compatible with existing analogue radio stations, allowing a smooth switch to the digital standard.
The communication system introduced on the eve of the SCO summit will be used in the future to provide daily security in the city.
